A shared foundation for data

Structuring, archiving and reconciling customer master data.

Tressol-Chabrier · Work-study placement

SQL ServerSQLStar schema modelling

The project, step by step

6.6M+rows archived · 19 tables

  1. 01

    3 DMS systems

Customer data from separate management systems

  2. 02

    Clean and reconcile

Merge data from the different sources

  3. 03

    Structure in SQL Server

Silver Layer and star schema modelling

  4. 04

    Unify customer data

Shared master data across the three systems

The 6.6M+ figure refers to archived rows from 19 Autolink tables, not the number of customers.

01

Context

Data Engineering work on production data at Groupe Tressol-Chabrier.

02

Problem

Structure data and reconcile customer master data from three heterogeneous DMS systems.

03

Data

19 Autolink DMS tables representing more than 6.6 million archived rows, alongside customer data from three DMS systems.

04

Approach

I designed a Silver Layer for the Data Warehouse on SQL Server, including cleaning and merging data from multiple sources and unifying customer data.

05

Method

Optimised table archiving, customer master data reconciliation and star schema modelling.

06

Results

A Data Warehouse Silver Layer designed, more than 6.6 million rows archived and customer data from three DMS systems unified.

07

Technologies

SQL Server, SQL, Data Warehouse and star schema modelling.

08

Lessons and limitations

The reported volume refers to archived rows, not a customer count. Matching rules and modelling trade-offs remain to be documented.
